Calibration TUBE – the calibration probe for bariatric procedures

The Calibration TUBE is latex-free, made of medical-grade silicone and - unlike PVC tubes - retains its stable shape for easy insertion. The tube has 6 small holes for rinsing and suctioning to prevent kinking of the tube and internal bleeding in the stomach due to excessively large holes. Vacuum during suction is prevented by a separate hole at the tip of the tube. There is a clip at the end that allows the anesthetist to close the tube with one hand.

The soft conical tip of the Calibration TUBE is radiopaque (material mixed with barium sulphate) and therefore easily recognizable on X-ray images. The centimeter markings on the probe allow surgeons to precisely determine the position of the Calibration Tube.

The Calibration TUBE is specifically listed for use as a calibration probe for sleeve gastrectomy and (mini) bypass (relevant with regard to the adhesion context) and is available in different color-coded versions.
